The Hugo Cup is an unofficial award presented annually by Jay and Jack. The award is currently presented to the best fan of Lost, as determined by the award's presenters. Those fans wishing to participate are asked to submit videos to the award's presenters for judging. From 2006 to 2007, the Hugo Cup was awarded to the best Lost website as voted on by Lost fans. The award is named after the Lost character Hugo “Hurley” Reyes, played by Jorge Garcia.
The actual award is trophy cup made of a silver colored metal on a wooden base on which is a plaque with the The Hugo Cup engraved on it. The inspiration for it's creation is the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup, where winners of the award will retain the award for a 12 month period until the next nominations for the award begin.
