Talk:Signatures

instead of making it into a subpage of your user space it's better just to copy the exact code into the "nickname" field. that way when someone looks at the talk page from edit, they will see the code instead of a template. -- MateoP/talk 19:01, 9 August 2006 (PDT)
- I have to disagree on that. Some peoples' sigs are enormously complex and take up a lot of room on the feed. It makes life more difficult when having discussions wading past all the formulae --Nickb123 (Talk) 02:27, 10 August 2006 (PDT)

Help
Edit
I have a problem with my signature. Why does my timestamp appear like this? -- #1LostFan talk contribs Lost Wiki 21:39, 2 December 2007 (PST)
Help?
Edit
When I am signing talk pages and such, my signature often goes haywire and splits into several lines. Is this a fault of mine or of the code? Often, when it does this, it appears that it should be able to fit into one line, instead of breaking up. Help? Anyone? It's annoying for me, I'm sure it is for others as well. Feel free to edit my signature if that'll help. -- WanderingMathematician talk contribs email 20:23, 28 January 2008 (PST)
Another help
Edit
What am I doing wrong? I followed the steps exactly (in both the long instructions and the "sigs for dummies") and I thought that I had got it working- but when I use the tildes to sign with it looks like this. --MetallichickX 20:58, 21 February 2008 (PST)
- Annnnnd I just realized what I was doing wrong. It was really stupid too. This time it should work.--MetallichickX 21:09, 21 February 2008 (PST)
Yet more help
Edit
I'm probably missing something obvious, but what did I do to screw up the way the time/date of my posts are displayed? Vegan T-Rex about me 22:26, 21 February 2008 (PST)
Previous Signatures
Edit
I recently created my first signature. Is it possible to make all my previous posts show the new signature other than just re-posting each one individually?-- Connor401 talk contribs email 05:49, 1 June 2008 (PDT)
Help... again
Edit
Hi, I think I did something wrong in my signature. After signing, date and time jump into the next line. See: 06:38, 18 June 2008 (PDT) It would be great if somebody can help me. Thx --Andre 06:37, 18 June 2008 (PDT)

Custom signatures used globally for all wikis
Edit
One thing I just discovered is that custom signatures are used globally on all wikis run by Wikia Entertainment. Therefore, it may actually be better to use the autosig page as a sandbox so you can preview your signature and adjust it to your liking. Then, do not save the page, but instead copy your new signature into the "Signature" field of your Preferences.
If you choose to have a autosig page and use the Substitution method described on the Help page, that means you will need to create that same autosig page on every wiki you edit on. — RRabbit42 (leave a message) 20:16, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for this!
Edit
I Frequently edit on the Hot Wheels Wikia and used this article to help with my custom signature. So I thank you for this as there is no one else on the Hot Wheels wikia with a custom signature, In other words no one to help me. Im really just here to see if it will work cross-wikia =P {{SUBST:User:Sinnin/SigX}} 04:35, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
