The night of the crash, Charlie sees Claire. He adjusts his appearance and introduces himself, offering her his blanket and assuring her they'll see rescue.
In the present, Charlie, gives his list of greatest hits to Desmond. Desmond offers to die in his place, so Charlie knocks him out with an oar. Charlie picks up the weight belt and takes one final breath before he dives under the water. He swims down to the Looking Glass, and searches for the moon pool. He finds it just as his breath is running out.
