Gatsbys American Dream

Redirected from Gatsby's American Dream

Gatsbys American Dream, a Seattle-based rock band, has made two direct references to Lost in their new, self-titled album (2006). The first song of the album has the same name as Drive Shaft's song, "You All Everybody". Track #6 is entitled "Station 5: The Pearl", a direct reference to the DHARMA station of the same name.

The song "You All Everybody" deals with sticking to your beliefs and being yourself, which appears to be the same idea centered in the song of the same name by Drive Shaft.

The song "Station 5: The Pearl" seems to be about one's conscience and faith, which is questioned by Locke, in the episode ?. This is shown by the lyrics:

"Can't say I didn't ask yourself to do anything. Was the trust ourselves? Guess it's clear that's not what's going on."
