Sonya-projection — projection of Sonyas image?

Sonya's image was likely projected into the sea mist (perhaps using the equipment from the Queen's College Dept. of Physics), since in the Chapter 3 clue hunt, what appears to be a projection of Sonya's image is visible on one of the bridge doors. This was but one of the ways in which Sam's determination to find answers was fueled. The image of her he saw in his window at home may have been similarly manufactured.
