Nice diagram, but it would be better if it were clearer what the hatch markings on the timeline indicate. It's difficult to tell when a day begins and when a day ends. Remember, the major tip-off (for Sayid) that there has been some time dilation is the fact that they depart in the evening before sunset, but land, less than an hour later, at midday.   • That is a good point. Since I didn't have exact time stamps, I didn't get more specific than what day it occurred. They obviously didn't travel exactly 48 hours prior, as you noted, since the time of day was inconsistent. My intent was to reinforce the idea that this is both an issue of time and space. I wanted to show we can come up w/ a relatively simple explanation that agrees w/ the facts as we know them and doesn't rely to speculation.Kevrock 12:26, 28 March 2008 (PDT)
