The University of Hawaii, or UH, has been used as a filming location.

The filming of scenes for "Not in Portland" was conducted at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's new John A. Burns School of Medicine campus in the Kakaako district of Honolulu. [1] Also the scenes at the stadium are filmed at the Aloha Stadium, where the University of Hawaii football team plays its home games, and the NFL holds its annual "Pro Bowl" event.

The university's college radio station KTUH was featured on a T-shirt worn by Michael Emerson in the spoof video at Comic-Con 2009 of his supposed audition for the part of Hurley.[2]

UH has been home to several guest actors on Lost, including Glenn Cannon, Peter Ruocco, Jenny Chang, Dustin Geiger, Ariston Green, Thomas Hannsz, Joy Minaai, Mark "Kiwi" Kalaugher, Dane Justman, Larry Wiss, and Steven Labrash.
