Theories

Father Aguillar is the priest who performed the funeral for Hurley's grandfather, Tito Reyes. During the funeral he was hit by lightning in what Hurley referred to as a "freak storm". This incident is only reported by Hurley and the character does not appear on-screen. ("Numbers")
