Faran Haroon Tahir is the actor who plays "Ishmael Bakir" in "The Shape of Things to Come". An accomplished actor on stage, and in TV and film, he appears as the terrorist leader of the "Ten Rings" in the new Ironman movie, and plays a Starfleet captain of the USS Kevin in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek film in 2009. Both his parents are performing artists from Pakistan.
