- Emma and her brother were abducted and brainwashed, so as to forget their previous lives. They are being raised "safely" by members of the Others who desperately want their own children but are unable to conceive them.
- Emma and Zack were with their father in Australia, as their parents had separated.
- After Emma is brought round by Ana Lucia, and Emma enquirers about what happened; Emma does seem to speak with an Australian accent.
- She is the elder of the two siblings. Although not visibly evident in her first appearance, by season three Emma seems considerably taller than Zack.
- Emma is a young Charlotte and this is why Charlotte said she was trying to find where she came from.
- How can this be? During the present time (2004 or so), Emma was a passenger aboard 815 and was kidnapped. Then Charlotte comes on the freighter some 90 days later or whatever. They're not the same person.
- Emma and Zach are currently in The Temple with Cindy. In Season 6, it will be revealed that while everyone else on the island has been time-jumping, The Temple has been immune from the temporal shifts due to being the island's "eye of the storm." Therefore, the next time we see Emma and Zach their ages will match the young actors', as time continued to move forward for everyone inside of The Temple throughout all of the time-shifting events of Season 5.
Emma works for DHARMA
- I added an entry to the trivia section that someone at the Octagon booth at Comic Con said her name was Emma and that she had been working for DHARMA for five years. What I didn't write, b/c it's conjecture, was that that woman resembles the Tailies' Emma. The actress who played Emma is 13, so if she character is supposed to be an early adolescent/teen ager in the shows time line, then +5 years would put her in her late teens/early twenties, which the Octagon's Emma appears to be. Coincidence? I mean it is a bit of a stretch to think that's what they wanted us to infer, but Rachel Blake did make personal appearances at Comic Con, so it isn't unprecedented in Lost ARG history.
