Eddie is the security guard for Anthony Cooper, John Locke's father.

After Locke connected with Cooper, he and Eddie established a friendly repartee through John's frequent visits. However, despite their friendly relationship, when Cooper abandoned Locke, Eddie was ordered to immediately turn Locke away. He did his job regretfully, and did not let him in Cooper's house. ("Deus Ex Machina")

It is unknown whether Cooper retained Eddie's employment when he changed residences.
