Doug Hutchison portrays Horace Goodspeed, a mathematician at the DHARMA Initiative's Arrow station. Though his character and was killed off in the Purge, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse describe Horace as factoring significantly in the future "game plan" for Lost. Hutchison also narrated "Lost: Destiny Calls", the recap episode which preceded Season 5.
Doug portrayed the sadistic Percy Wetmore in the film adaptation of Stephen King's The Green Mile and Eugene Victor Tooms, a bloodthirsty mutant cannibal with the ability to stretch his body out of proportion on The X-Files.
Doug was also featured in episodes of Party of Five, the same show on which Matthew Fox (Jack) was a regular cast member. Hutchison also portrayed Henry Victor in the 2008 horror/western "The Burrowers" with Clancy Brown and William Mapother, and played a greedy dairy company executive in the 2007 comedy "Moola", which also starred William Mapother.
