Diamond Head is a volcanic tuff cone crater to the south-east of Honolulu, Hawaii. Its comparatively dry basin and greyish soil in collaboration with the presence of military installations made it one of Lost's filming location for depicting Iraq. The crater is also home to Battery Harlow, a WWII artillery installation used in several scenes depicting Sayid's base in Iraq. Also the Hawaii Film Studio, the location of the Hawaii-based crew of Lost, is located at the foot of Diamond Head crater.
