• The hieroglyphs displayed when the countdown timer reaches critical are not dissimilar to several DHARMA station logos- namely the Staff, the Orchid, the Flame, the Swan (a stretch, I concede), and the Arrow. The countdown timer is linked to the failsafe device- if the numbers are not entered in the Swan for whatever reason, DHARMA personnel in other stations are prompted to enter them via DHARMATEL. The appearance of these hieroglyphs on the countdown timer displays which stations have failed to enter the numbers.
