In the flash sideways, a taxi driver at Los Angeles International Airport picked up a pregnant Claire when Kate hopped in the back. When the cab driver said he already had a passenger, Kate pulled a gun on him and told him to drive. ("LA X, Part 2")

Claire begged to be let out of the taxi but Kate refused. The driver stopped when Leslie Arzt's luggage was strewn on the road. Claire tried to get out, but Kate wouldn't let her. After running over the luggage, the taxi driver fled the cab. ("What Kate Does")
