Cathy Hapka is the nominated author for the first two books in a range of Lost tie-in novellas.

She's known mainly for her previous children's books, which are mostly tie-ins with existing franchises being transferred to children's book formats for, amongst others, the Disney and Lego companies.
Her real name is Catherine Hapka.
The two Lost books received very mixed reviews from fans who seem torn between the light and simplistic story lines that failed to make any significant addition to the world and mythos of Lost and those who enjoyed the easy read that references many of the familiar characters and situations with plenty of name checking.
