Cast changes

This page will show the group of "main characters" and the roster changes through the seasons. Occasionally, sometimes the actors that play these characters will still be credited as guest stars after they have left the main cast, such as for guest appearances in flashbacks, or brief on-island appearances (i.e. Walt in "Three Minutes" or "Live Together, Die Alone"), or vice versa (i.e. Desmond and Ben present in some scenes of Season 2, but not joining as main cast until Season 3).

Note 2: Boone died in "Do No Harm" but was credited as a main character until "Exodus, Part 2". He has since appeared as a 'special guest star'.

Note 3: Walt was taken by the Others in "Exodus, Part 2". He has since appeared as a guest star. He left the Island in "Live Together, Die Alone".

Note 4: Shannon died in "Abandoned". She has since appeared as a 'special guest star'.

Note 5: Ana Lucia died in "Two for the Road". She has since appeared as a 'special guest star'.

Note 6: Libby died in "?" but was credited as a main character until "Live Together, Die Alone". She has since appeared as a 'guest star'.

Note 7: Michael left the Island in "Live Together, Die Alone". He later returned as a main character in "Ji Yeon" and died in "There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3".

Note 8: Eko died in "The Cost of Living".

Note 9: Nikki and Paulo died in "Exposé". Nikki has since appeared in an uncredited part.

Note 10: Charlie drowned in "Through the Looking Glass" but was credited as a main character until "The Beginning of the End". .

Note 11: Claire disappeared and was last seen alive with Christian in Jacob's cabin "Cabin Fever" but was credited as a main character until "There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3". She has since appeared in an uncredited part.

Note 12: Charlotte died in "This Place Is Death". She has since appeared as a child, played by a different actress.

Note 13: Daniel died in "The Variable".
