"Can't Keep Locke Down" is an orchestral piece from the Season 6 soundtrack.

Scene descriptionEdit

Jack notices his neck is bleeding, and he dabs it with a tissue. Locke awakens, despite his anesthesia, and he assures Jack that the operation worked. Jack explains that this is unlikely, but Locke's toes begin moving.

Locke then remembers his life on the island. He remembers beating paralysis for the first time and smiling at Kate through an orange peel later that day. He remembers tossing knives with Walt and embracing the rain with Boone. And he remembers his first sight of the smoke monster - or as he called it, looking into the bright light of the Island's eye.

He asks if Jack remembers his life too, and Jack briefly flashes to their time staring down the newly opened Hatch. But he resists, and when Locke tries leaving his bed, Jack urges him to remain still. Jack then leaves to return to David, but Locke tells him that he has no son. Before Jack goes, Locke offers a wish that he too will soon wake up.

InfluencesEdit

The piece begins with Locke's flash sideways theme. His second theme and the home theme play together, and the latter theme continues. The love theme finishes the piece.

Title significanceEdit

The piece is the 12th and final track to include Locke's name.
