IMDb profile

Billy Dee Williams played himself in the Season 3 episode "Exposé". He portrayed both himself as an actor, and the fictional character Mr. LaShade, on the show-within-a-show television series Exposé.

  • Williams is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Performing Arts.
  • His first big break came in 1971 with the film Brian's Song, for which he received an Emmy nomination.
  • He is arguably most famous for his role as Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars movies: The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
  • He is also well known for his appearances in advertisements for the liquor brand Colt .45.
  • He played District Attorney Harvey Dent in the movie Batman.

  • His full legal name is William December Williams.
  • In 1985 he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
  • In "The Man from Tallahassee", a Colt .45 ad can be seen on a background billboard.
  • He is an accomplished painter with his own gallery and regular exhibitions.
  • Billy Dee Williams is the only actor on Lost to have portrayed himself on-screen; John Walsh portrayed himself (in his position as host of a fictional segment of America's Most Wanted) as well, but this was in a Comic-Con video that was likely non-canonical instead of the show itself.
  • In the computer/video game Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars he starred opposite Josh Holloway as the GDI Director Redmond Boyle.
