Billy was a member of Desmond's regiment in the Royal Scots. Desmond confided in him when he had unexplainable flashes, and Billy thought that he was simply pretending to have mental problems to get thrown out of his Regiment. ("The Constant")

  • Billy, short for William comes from the Germanic name Wilhelm, which was composed of the elements wil "will, desire" and helm "helmet, protection".
  • During casting for "The Constant", he was described as "Mid to late 20s, Caucasian, British, a good buddy to have, willingly to listen but won't take too much guff before he'll knock you in line... Nice co-star. impeccable British accent".[1]
  • "The Constant" is modeled after Kurt Vonnegut's book Slaughterhouse Five The main character in Slaughterhouse Five is named Billy Pilgrim. Chapter Two begins "Listen: Billy Pilgrim has come unstuck in time"
