This is the only DHARMA orientation film whose creation was actually shown in Lost.
Making of the film
The orientation was filmed in the Barracks, four days after Jack, Kate, and the others arrived in 1977. It was filmed in the morning. The Incident happened later that same day. ("Because You Left") ("The Variable")
Since Chang was interrupted during the filming, it is not known whether he later re-shot the entire film, or just the incomplete portion.
The film was directed by Jay and filmed by an unnamed cameraman. The names "Kyker" and "Bracken" are visible on the slate.

- The names Kyker and Bracken are listed as the directors of the Arrow Orientation film. ("Because You Left") This is a likely reference to prop master Rob Kyker and production staff member Don Bracken.
