Arlen was a DHARMA Initiative member who killed in The Purge. It's unknown whatever Arlen was a male or female.

On the IslandEdit

1992Edit

Arlen was killed during The Purge, and his/her body was thrown into the Mass Grave by The Others.

2004Edit

Arlen's body

After Locke was shot by Ben, he fell into the Mass Grave. ("The Man Behind the Curtain")

Sometimes later, Locke noticed there's a gun on Arlen's body, so he crawled to the body and got the gun. When Locke tried to suicide with Arlen's gun, Walt appeared and told him he had work to do. ("Through the Looking Glass, Part 1")

Lately on the same day, Locke carried Arlen's gun to the Radio Tower, and threatened Jack if he contacted with the people on the freighter, he would shot him. ("Through the Looking Glass, Part 2")

It's unknown what happened to Arlen's gun, after Locke left the Radio Tower.

TriviaEdit

• Arlen's job title in DHARMA is unknown, as only "Sec" was identified on his jumpsuit. It's possible that his job title was "Security", because he had a gun with him. However, it's likely not, because the idea of having a "Security" as a job title in DHARMA wasn't shown until Season 5, and they even had their own security logo on the jumpsuit. Since Arlen's jumpsuit got a main logo, it's unlikely his job title was "Security".

• It's interesting that there's three different Arlen who appeared in the same episode "Through the Looking Glass, Part 1": Arlen from DHARMA, and Mrs. Arlen with her son from Jack's flashforward. Also, three of them only appeared in this episode, and the actor/actress who played them are unknown.
