Charlotte was Faraday's student at Queen's College, Oxford University, and they began a romance.
Charlotte is a sexbot from the future sent to protect Dan from the Island.
- If Charlotte was a sexbot from the future, she would have malfunctioned when she fell in the water in Confirmed Dead.
  - One assumes such advanced technology would be water-resistant at the very least.
    - If she WERE a sexbot with such highly advanced, water resistant technology, SURELY she would be impervious to the toxic gases released by The Tempest, seeing as she is non-organic in nature. Why, then, does she wear a gas mask?
      - Failing to wear one would have given the game away, especially if Daniel is unaware of who and what she is—Charlotte may not be terribly interested in slotting in with the Losties, but under this theory, retaining Daniel's trust would be important.
Charladay are Adam and Eve somehow.
Daniel Faraday is Charlotte's father. In the far future he will return to 1979 and father her, teaching her all she needs to know to be prepared for her island trip.
